The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (6-0, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) extended its season-opening win streak to six games on Friday, March 13 with a 16-2 win over Cornell College (1-2) at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis. The Red Men were listed as one of the teams "also receiving votes" in this week's United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's NCAA Division III poll.
The Red Men led, 4-1, after the first period. 10-1 at halftime and 12-1 after three periods Carthage's
Timothy Francis (Sr., Costa Mesa, Calif./Huntington Beach) scored four goals with two assists and four ground balls.
Luke Seydel (Fr., San Diego, Calif./Westview) had three goals, one assist and a caused turnover, while
Dylan Harris (Fr., Carlsbad, Calif.) scored three goals with an assist. Rémy Giacotto (Sr., Elmwood Park, Ill./Oak Park-Fenwick) had two goals and 16 ground balls, while converting 19-of-21 faceoffs, Goalkeeper
Ryan Smith (So., Centennial, Colo./Arapahoe) played for the first half and collected six saves.
Carthage plays host to Concordia University (Wis., 1-2) on Saturday, March 14 in a 3 p.m. game, also at Art Keller Field.
