The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (3-2, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) defeated Calvin College (1-1), 14-9, on Wednesday, March 11 at Mehney Field in East Grand Rapids, Mich.

Calvin led at halftime, 6-5, and the Knights still led by a point, 8-7, with 20 minutes to play. The Lady Reds tied the game, 8-8, on a goal by
Shannon Long at 20:10 and took the lead, 9-8, at 16:14 on a goal by
Hannah Bellenbaum. Carthage scored six of the game's final seven goals en route to a 14-9 decision,

Madison Griffin (So., Parker, Colo./Ponderosa) led the Lady Reds with four goals, two assists, five ground balls and two caused turnovers.Â
Hannah Bellenbaum (Sr., Lake Oswego, Ore.) scored three goals with one ground ball, and
Elizabeth Wittenborg (Jr., Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) added two goals, with one assist, two ground balls and a caused turnover. Amanda Davio scored four goals for the Knights.
