ResultsChampionship Web SiteThe Carthage College men's track and field team (41-15-1 outdoor record), ranked 25th in May 19 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA Division III outdoor poll, finished 24th at the Thursday-Saturday, May 22-24 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship at Ohio Wesleyan University's Selby Stadium/George Gauthier Track in Delaware, Ohio. The Red Men qualified six individuals for championship.
Trevor James (Sr., Maywood, Ill./Chicago-Hope Academy), ranked first nationally in the high jump (7-2 ½) and this year's NCAA indoor champion In the event, tied for second place (6-10 ¼) on Friday.
Derrik Guyette (Jr., Hortonville, Wis.) finished fourth in the shot put (Carthage-record 55-11). Guyette also qualified in the discus but did not place in the finals.
Mark Balmes (So., Mount Prospect, Ill./Arlington Heights-Hersey) finished 16th in the shot put (51-8 ½) and 17th in the discus (151-4).
Quenten Austin (So., Vandalia, Ill./Community) finished 13th in the decathlon (6,539 points).
