The Carthage College men's track and field team (41-15-1 outdoor record), ranked 20th in May 14 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NCAA Division III outdoor poll, sent a partial squad to the Thursday-Friday, May 15-16 North Central College "Gregory Final Qualifier" at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium in Naperville, Ill. 

Trevor James (Sr., Maywood, Ill./Chicago-Hope Academy) took second place in the high jump (6-7 ½).  Darin Ward (Fr., Fond du Lac, Wis./St. Mary's Springs) was fourth in the 110-meter hurdles (15.04), and Reggie Miller (Sr., Downers Grove, Ill./South) finished 10th in the long jump (19-10 ¾).

The Red Men sent another partial squad to the Friday, May 16 Augustana College (Ill.) "Twilight Qualifier" at the Austin E. Knowlton Outdoor Athletic Complex in Rock Island, Ill.  Derrik Guyette (Jr., Hortonville, Wis.) was second in the shot put (53-2 ¼) and fourth in the discus (165-3).  Branden Miller (Jr., Winfield, Ill./Wheaton-North) was third in the shot put (52-2 ¾), as was Mark Balmes (So., Mount Prospect, Ill./Arlington Heights-Hersey) in the discus (166-2).
