Lady Reds Play Host to Lake Forest and Wisconsin-Whitewater on Sunday

The Carthage College women's tennis team (9-5, 4-2 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) lost to Wisconsin-La Crosse (13-4), 7-2, on Sunday, April 6 at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis.
 
Carthage's Bari Reynolds (Sr., Sterling, Ill., 12-10) lost to the Eagles' Olivia Hartwick at No. 1 singles, the latter winning, 6-3, 7-5.  Haleigh McPeek (Jr. Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 12-9) fell to Abby Tresedder at No. 2 singles, the latter winning, 6-3, 10-8.  Abbi Howell (Jr., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest, 13-11) lost at No. 3 singles, as did Eliza Barter (Fr., Deerfield, Ill./Wilmette-Loyola Academy, 7-13) at No. 4 singles and Holly Weber (Sr., Salem, Wis./Westosha Central, 11-6) at No. 5 singles.  Kelsey Bowen (Sr., Beach Park, Ill./Zion-Benton Township, 10-5) was a winner at No. 6 singles. 
 
The Lady Reds' No. 1 doubles team of Reynolds and McPeek (20-2) was an 8-5 winner over Wisconsin-La Crosse's Olivia Hartwick and Abby Tresedder.  Carthage's No 2 team of Howell and Barter (8-10) lost their match, as did the Lady Reds' No. 3 tandem of Holly Weber and Kristin Kalinka (Fr., Kenosha, Wis./St. Joseph, 14-6).
 
Carthage plays host to a double-dual match on Sunday, April 13 against Lake Forest College at 9 a.m. and Wisconsin-Whitewater at 4 p.m.  Due to a threat of rain, the April 13 matches have been moved from the Smeds Tennis Center to the Eastside Tennis & Fitness Club in Kenosha, Wis.
