Box Score The Carthage College men's volleyball team (11-5, 5-0 Continental Volleyball Conference West Division), ranked sixth in the March 4 American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, swept CVC West Division-opponent the College of Mount St. Joseph (10-7, 1-2 CVC West), 3-0, on Saturday, March 8 at Indian Trail High School in Kenosha, Wis.
The Red Men's winning scores over the Lions were 25-22, 25-23 and 25-16. The Carthage-Mount St. Joseph match was moved to Indian Trails due to NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship game at Tarble Arena.
Jon Storm (Jr., Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) led the Red Men with 12 kills and .320 attack percentage.
Kevin Farrell (Jr., Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East) had 11 kills and hit .556.
Jim Schultz (Sr., Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) and
Jeff Beach (Sr., St. Charles, Ill./North) collected eight kills each, and setter
Connor Wexter (Sr., New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) averaged 13.3 assists per set. Alex Vohland Mount St. Joseph with a match-high 16 kills.
The Red Men play host to the Carthage Tournament on Saturday-Sunday, March 15-16 at Tarble Arena in Kenosha, Wis.
