No. 6 Men's Volleyball Sweeps Fontbonne, 3-0, on March 7

Red Men Play Host to Mount St. Joseph on Saturday at Indian Trails High School

Box Score The Carthage College men's volleyball team (10-5, 4-0 Continental Volleyball Conference West Division), ranked sixth in the March 4 American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, swept CVC West Division-opponent Fontbonne University (6-6, 0-2 CVC West), 3-0, on Friday night, March 7 at Indian Trail High School in Kenosha, Wis. 

The Red Men's winning scores over the Griffins were 25-14, 25-14 and 15-19.  The Carthage-Fontbonne match was moved to Indian Trails due to NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship game at Tarble Arena.
 
Jim Schultz (Sr., Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) led the Red Men with a match-high 14 kills with a .333 attack percentage and five block assists, while Jon Storm (Jr., Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) had seven kills and hit .375.  J.P. Tulaka (So., Westmont, Ill./Downers Grove-North) had a block solo and seven block assists.  Setter Connor Wexter (Sr., New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) averaged 10.7 assists per set.  Aaron  Graue led Fontbonne with nine kills.  Carthage plays host to the College of Mount St. Joseph (10-6, 1-1 CVC West) on Saturday, March 8 in a 3 p.m. match, also at Indian Trails High School.
