Box Score The Carthage College men's volleyball team (9-5, 3-0 Continental Volleyball Conference West Division), ranked sixth in the March 4 American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, swept CVC West Division-opponent the Milwaukee School of Engineering (3-8, 1-2 CVC West), 3-0, on Monday, March 3 at the Kern Center in Milwaukee. The Red Men's winning set scores over the Raiders were 25-18, 25-17 and 25-12.
Jim Schultz (Sr., Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) led the Red Men with a match-high 11 kills, while
Jon Storm (Jr., Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) had eight kills with a .471 attack percentage.
Jeff Beach (Sr., St. Charles, Ill./North) had four kills and five block assists, while setter
Connor Wexter (Sr., New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) averaged 10.0 assists per set. Nick Manning led the Raiders with seven kills.
Due to first and second-round NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship games at Tarble Arena on Friday-Saturday, March 7-8, Carthage's home volleyball matches versus Fontbonne University on March 7 and the College of Mount St. Joseph on March 8 have been moved to Indian Trails High School (6800 60th Street) in Kenosha, Wis.
