Box Score The Carthage College men's volleyball team (8-5, 2-0 Continental Volleyball Conference West Division), ranked eighth in the Feb. 25 American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, swept CVC West Division-opponent and No. 5 Lakeland College (11-6, 1-1 CVC West), 3-0, on Saturday night, March 1 at the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium in Howards Grove, Wis. The Red Men's winning set scores over the Muskies were 25-16, 25-23 and 25-23.
Jon Storm (Jr., Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) led the Red Men with 13 kills and a .304 attack percentage, while
Jim Schultz (Sr., Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) had nine kills and hit .250.
Kevin Farrell (Jr., Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East) added eight kills with a .357 mark, while setter
Connor Wexter (Sr., New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) averaged 13.67 assists per set. Alec Redlich led Lakeland with 13 kills and a .320 attack percentage.
Carthage travels to Milwaukee on Monday, March 3 to take on CVC West-opponent the Milwaukee School of Engineering (3-7, 1-1 CVC West) in a 7 p.m. match at the Kern Center.
