The Carthage College women's soccer team (7-9-0, 2-3-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) defeated CCIW-opponent North Park University (6-9-0, 1-3-0 CCIW), 2-1, on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at the Holmgren Athletic Complex in Chicago.
 
North Park took a 1-0 lead at 22:40 first half on a goal by Emma Lundeen, her 13th of the season and assisted by Elisabeth Heidenstrom.  A goal by Rachel Post (Jr., New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central), assisted by Jessica Socha, at 59:32 second period tied the game at 1-1.  The Lady Reds went ahead, 2-1, on a goal by Jessica Larson (So., Sheboygan Falls, Wis./Howards Grove), assisted by Cori Calcaterra. at 73:17.  North Park had a 19-15 edge in shots, while Carthage had a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.  Lady Reds goalkeeper Abby Alm (Jr., North Branch, Minn./North Branch) collected seven saves.
 
The Lady Reds play host to conference-opponent Millikin University (3-11-1, 0-4-0 CCIW) on Saturday, Oct. 25 in a 5 p.m. game at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
