Box Score The Carthage College men's volleyball team (0-2, 0-0 Continental Volleyball Conference), ranked seventh in the 2014 pre-season American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, was swept by Lindenwood University (2-2), 3-0, on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 26 at the Robert F. Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.  The Lions' winning set scores over the Red Men were 25-20, 25-21 and 25-22. 

Carthage opened its 2014 season on Saturday, Jan. 25 with a 3-2 loss to Quincy University (3-2) at Pepsi Arena in Quincy, Ill.  The Hawks' winning set scores over the Red Men were 25-22, 25-21, 19-25, 25-27 and 15-13.
 
In the loss to Lindenwood, Michael Adams topped the Lions with 14 kills, a .407 attack percentage and four block assists.  For Carthage, Jon Storm (Jr., Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) had 12 kills and Spencer Dove (So., Los Gatos, Calif./Los Gatos) nine kills and a .278 attack percentage.  Setter Connor Wexter (Sr., New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) averaged 10.0 assists per set.
 
Carthage travels to Rochester, N.Y., on Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 1-2 to play in the Nazareth College "Golden Flyer Invitational" at the Robert A. Kidera Gym.  The Red Men take on No. 15 Medaille College on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 4 p.m. (all times EST) and Hilbert College at 6:30 p.m.  On Sunday, Feb. 2, Carthage plays No. 13 Elmira College at 10 a.m. and Thiel College at 3 p.m.
