Carthage opened its 2014 season on Saturday, Jan. 25 with a 3-2 loss to Quincy University (3-2) at Pepsi Arena in Quincy, Ill. The Hawks' winning set scores over the Red Men were 25-22, 25-21, 19-25, 25-27 and 15-13.

Carthage travels to Rochester, N.Y., on Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 1-2 to play in the Nazareth College "Golden Flyer Invitational" at the Robert A. Kidera Gym. The Red Men take on No. 15 Medaille College on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 4 p.m. (all times EST) and Hilbert College at 6:30 p.m. On Sunday, Feb. 2, Carthage plays No. 13 Elmira College at 10 a.m. and Thiel College at 3 p.m.
