No. 4 Carthage Men's Volleyball Falls to Cardinal Stritch, 3-1, on Feb. 14

Box Score The Carthage College men's volleyball team (8-3, 0-0 Continental Volleyball Conference), ranked fourth in the Feb. 12 American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, lost  to Cardinal Stritch University (11-1), 3-1, on Thursday, Feb. 14 at Tarble Arena in Kenosha, Wis.  The Wolves' winning scores over the Red Men were 20-25, 26-24, 25-21 and 25-21.
 
Adam Cosson led Cardinal Stritch with 14 kills, while Jimmy Torromeo had 13 kills with a .407 attack percentage.  Noah Mader added 10 kills for the Wolves with a .318 attack percentage and nine blocks (3 solo, 6 assisted).  Carthage's Pat Barry (Jr., Skokie, Ill./Wilmette-Loyola Academy) had 17 kills. and three block assists, while Jon Storm (So., Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) had 12 kills and seven blocks (1 solo, 6 assisted)  Setter Connor Wexter (Jr., New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central averaged 12.0 assists per set.
 
On Saturday, Feb. 16, the Red Men play host to a triangular with St. Xavier University and Lindenwood University.  Carthage plays St. Xavier (2-10) at 11 a.m.  St. Xavier takes on Lindenwood (3-6) at 1 p.m., and Carthage plays Lindenwood at 3 p.m.
