Results

The Carthage College women's swimming team (4-0 dual-meet record) defeated Lewis University, 161-101, on Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center in Kenosha, Wis.  The Lady Reds remain undefeated this season with four dual-meet wins and victories in two invitationals.
 
Kelly Loftus (Jr., Winfield, Ill./West Chicago) and Ember McCoy (Jr., Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) led the Lady Reds with wins each.  Loftus won both the 200 backstroke (2:16.6.54) and the 200 butterfly (2:12.59) and was second in the 100 backstroke (1:03.78).  McCoy won both the 200 freestyle (1:59.05) and the 500 freestyle (5:24.02), while finishing second in the 1,000 freestyle (11:08.49).  Michelle Hance (Fr., Noblesville, Ind.) won the 100 backstroke (1:02.92)., Lisa Perdue (So., Whittier, Calif.) the 100 freestyle (55.62), and Sarah Wodnik (Jr., Marion, Iowa/Linn-Mar) took first place in the 100 butterfly (1:02.10). 

Natalia Bialecka (Jr., Des Plaines, Ill./Park Ridge-Maine East) took second place in both the 50 freestyle (25.22) and the 100 freestyle (55.71).  Ashley Gladis (So., Batavia, Ill.) was second in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.01), as was Liz Olson (Fr., Forest City, Iowa) in the 200 breaststroke (2:31.29).  Carthage also picked up wins from its 200 medley relay team and its 400 freestyle relay team.

The Lady Reds travel to Wheaton, Ill., on Saturday, Jan. 19 to take on Wheaton College (Ill.) in an 11 a.m. dual meet at the Chrouser Fitness Center Pool.
