The Carthage College women's tennis team (1-1, 1-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) lost to Lawrence University (2-2), 5-4, on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at the Lawrence Courts in Appleton, Wis.
 
Bari Reynolds (Jr., Sterling, Ill., 4-1) was a winner at No. 1 singles over Jennifer Roesch, 7-5, 6-3.  Haleigh McPeek (So., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 4-1) defeated Christina Schaupp at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-3.  Erin Henrickson (So., Darien, Ill./Hinsdale-South, 1-1) lost at No. 3 singles, as did Abbi Howell (So., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest, 1-1) at No. 4 singles.  Kirsten Peterson (Fr., Hastings, Minn., 2-2) won at No. 5 singles, but Holly Weber (Jr., Salem, Wis./Westosha Central, 1-1) fell at No. 6 singles. 

Reynolds and McPeek (2-0) won their No. 1 doubles match over the Vikings.  The No. 2 team of Hendrickson and Howell (2-3) lost, as did the No. 3 tandem of Peterson and Weber (1-1). 
 
Carthage plays host to the CCIW double-dual match on Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis.  The Lady Reds take on Wheaton College (Ill.) at 10 a.m. and Millikin University at 3:30 p.m.
