The Carthage College women's volleyball team (14-2, 3-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin), ranked seventh in the Sept. 27 American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, defeated CCIW-opponent and No. 24 Elmhurst College (13-4, 1-2 CCIW), 3-1, on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at R.A. Faganel Hall in Elmhurst, Ill.  The Lady Reds' winning set scores over the Bluejays were 25-18, 26-28, 25-18 and 25-19. 

Outside hitter Michelle Madeja (Sr., Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) led Carthage with 18 kills and a .245 attack percentage in the Elmhurst match, while outside hitter Lauren Dembkowski (Sr., Mount Prospect, Ill./Arlington Heights-Hersey) had 15 kills.  Setter Drewann Pancratz (Sr., Schaumburg, Ill.) averaged 11.75 assists per set.

On Thursday, Sept. 29, the Lady Reds play host to non-conference opponent Lake Forest College (7-8) in a 7 p.m. contest at Tarble Arena.
