Carthage Women's Tennis Opens Sept. 1 vs. Lawrence and Wisconsin Lutheran

The Carthage College women's tennis team (0-0, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin), coached by Brady Lindsley (219-93 women's record, 14 years), opens its 2011-12 season on Thursday, Sept. 1 by playing host to Lawrence University and Wisconsin Lutheran College in a double-dual match at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis. Carthage takes on Lawrence at 1 p.m. and Wisconsin Lutheran at 6 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 3, the Lady Reds travel to Whitewater, Wis., to play in the Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational at the Wangerin Tennis Courts, beginning at 9 a.m.

Carthage returns three All-CCIW players. including first-team member Hollis McPeek (Sr., Lake Bluff/Lake Forest, 11-13, finished second at number-one singles at the CCIW Women's Tennis Championship), second-team honoree Kristina Naidicz (Sr., Kenosha, Wis./Tremper, 16-7, won the number-three singles title) and second-teamer Bari Reynolds (So., Sterling, Ill. 16-12, third at CCIW number-two singles).
