Results

The Carthage College men's indoor track and field team (33-11) finished fourth at the Friday-Saturday, Feb. 4-5 Illinois Wesleyan University “Bob Keck Invitational” at the Shirk Center in Bloomington, Ill. 

Illinois State University won the 18-team event with 113 points, followed by Illinois Wesleyan second at 61, Monmouth College third at 52, Carthage fourth at 44.50, Washington University (Mo.) fifth at 42, Western Illinois University sixth at 37, the College of DuPage seventh at 26, Rend Lake College eighth at 25, Williams Woods University ninth at 19.50, Elmhurst College 10th at 12, the University of St. Francis (Ill.) 11th at 10, Loyola University (Ill.) 12th with nine points, Beloit College and Trinity Christian College tied for 13th with eighth each, Millikin University 15th at six, North Park University 16th at five, Olivet Nazarene University 17th with two and Saint Louis University 18th with one point.
 
Carthage picked up wins from Marshall Stewart (Jr., Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) in the 400-meter dash (49.99) and Cale Brown (Fr., Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) in the triple jump (46-0 ¼). Jose Flores (Jr., Round Lake, Ill./Fox Lake-Grant Community) was third in the 800-meter run (1:56.97), as was Jarrayl Johnson (Sr., Flossmoor, Ill./South Holland-Thornwood) in the shot put (51-10 ¾).. The Red Men also got a win from its 1,600-meter relay team of Brown, Flores, Nick Blakey (So., St. Joseph, Ill./St. Joseph-Ogden) and Stewart (3:24.44). 

The Red Men travel to Naperville, Ill., on Saturday, Feb. 12 for the Chicagoland Indoor Track and Field Championship at North Central College's Al B. Carius Track, beginning at 10 a.m.
