The Carthage College women's swimming team (4-0 dual meet record) traveled to the Lake Forest Sports Center on Saturday, Nov. 5, winning a close meet over Lake Forest College, 111-93. 

Freshman swimmer Ashley Gladis (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) led the Lady Reds by taking three first-place finishes in the 200-individual medley (2:32.62), the 100 breaststroke (1:19.67), and the 200 medley relay with the help of Jensena Paul (Sr., Portage, Wis./Portage), Kelly Loftus (So., Winfield, Ill./West Chicago), and Megan Shover (Fr., Prospect Heights, Ill./Arlington Heights-St. Viator) in the latter event.  Gladis collected 29 of Carthage's 111 points.  Other contributors, both with two first-place finishes, were Susan Peinsipp (So., Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East) and Shover who also took part in the 200-meter medley relay with Gladis.  Peinsipp won the 100 butterfly (1:08.22), and Shover won the 50 freestyle (28.79). 

The Lady Reds have their next dual-meet at home, in the Koenitzer Aquatic Center, on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m. against Illinois Wesleyan University.
