Carthage College Athletics

2012:  Finished second in the 100 backstroke (58.62), fourth in the 200 backstroke (2:08.27), 10th in the 100 butterfly (1:00.06) and part of championship relay teams in both the 200 freestyle and the 200 medley at the CCIW Swimming Championship.

2011:  Qualified for the NCAA Division III Swimming Championship in the 100 backstroke but did not reach the finals…part of a 400 medley relay team that finished 15th at the NCAA championship…named College Swimming Coaches Association of America All-America…finished second in the 200 backstroke (Carthage-record 2:08.02), third in the 100 backstroke (58.68) and sixth in the 100 butterfly (1:00.22) at the CCIW Swimming Championship…part of a conference-championship 400 medley relay team.

2010:  Finished second in the 200 backstroke (Carthage-record 2:09.43), third in the 100 backstroke (59.16) and fifth in the 100 butterfly (1:00.63) at the CCIW Swimming Championship…part of a CCIW-championship relay teams in both the  200 medley and the 400 medley…finished second in the 100 backstroke (1:03.62) at the Wisconsin Private College Championship.

2009:  Won the 100 backstroke (CCIW and Carthage-record 58.32) at the CCIW Swimming Championship, while finishing second in the 100 butterfly (1:00.08) and fifth in the 200 backstroke (2:12.74)…part of conference-championship relay teams in the 200 medley and the 400 freestyle…won the 100 backstroke and finished second in the 100 butterfly at the Wisconsin Private College Championship.

High School:  A four-year sectional qualifier and set school records in the 100 backstroke and the 100 butterfly…coached by Jim Murphy and Jeff Melby…four-year member of the basketball team…National Honor Society member, Badger Conference all-academic, four-year high honors student and graduated with honors.

Personal:  Chemistry major…javelin thrower on the 2010 and 2011 Carthage outdoor track and field teams…named to the Carthage dean’s list six times and a six-semester member of the Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…born March 31, 1990.
