The Carthage College men's volleyball team (6-4), ranked sixth in the Jan. 26 American Volleyball Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, went 4-0 to win the Saturday-Sunday, Jan. 30-31 State University of New York Institute of Technology “Wildcat Invitational” at the SUNY Tech Campus Center Gymnasium in Utica, N.Y. 

Carthage won two matches on Saturday, Jan. 30, sweeping the City College of New York (0-3) and Lancaster Bible College (1-5) by identical 3-0 scores. The Red Men's winning set scores over the Beavers were 30-11, 30-10 and 30-15, while their winning scores over the Chargers were 30-11, 30-20 and 30-11. On Sunday, Jan. 31, the Red Men swept D'Youville College (6-4) and Stevenson University (7-1), 3-0 each. Carthage's winning set scores over the D'Youville Spartans were 30-20, 30-18 and 30-23, while the Red Men's winning scores over the Stevenson Mustangs were 30-22, 30-21 and 30-18.

Carthage continues its trip to New York State on Monday, Feb. 1 by playing the Sage Colleges (1-4) in a 7 p.m., EST match at the Kahl Center in Albany, N.Y.
