Coach Kristin Eggert

Kristin Eggert

Kristin Eggert begins her third year as a part-time assistant coach in 2014 after playing professionally in Norway in 2010 and 2011. She played on the 2010 Donn Toppfotball team in Norway's Toppserien (the highest level of women's soccer in Norway). The following year, Eggert joined Amazon Grimstad FK and helped that team to its best Toppserien finish in club history.

A native of Glen Ellyn, Ill., Eggert attended Wheaton College (Ill.). She was a goalkeeper for the Thunder's 2004-07 soccer teams and played on three NCAA Division III national-championship squads, including back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007. She was twice named to the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship all-tournament team, and she also set a post-season record for not allowing a single goal in NCAA tournament play. Eggert graduated from Wheaton (Ill.) in 2008 with a bachelor's in biblical studies.

Following graduation and prior to her professional stint in Norway, she served as an assistant girls soccer coach at Glenbard South High School in Glen Ellyn from 2008 to 2009. Eggert has worked with a number of suburban-Chicago club teams including Lealta F.C., the Glen Ellyn Raiders and the Glen Ellyn Lakers.
