Kasey Kleiner

Kasey Kleiner enters her third season as the Carthage College assistant women's basketball coach in 2020-21 after a four-year playing career with the Lady Reds between 2011 and 2015.

Kleiner is solidly entrenched in the Lady Reds record book with career marks of .403 for three-point field goal percentage (fourth all-time), .773 for free-throw percentage (seventh all-time), 137 three-point field goals (seventh all-time) and 340 three-point field goal attempts (ninth all-time). Kleiner was named third-team All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in 2015 after she registered a career-best 9.2 points per game.

Kleiner was a member of the 2013 and 2014 Lady Reds squads that won both CCIW and CCIW Women’s Basketball Tournament titles. Her freshman season in 2012 ended in the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Championship “Elite Eight,” while the 2014 campaign concluded in the NCAA tournament “Sweet 16.”

Kleiner graduated from Carthage in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science.  She received her master’s in education, also from Carthage, in 2017 while serving as a graduate assistant coach in both 2016 and 2017.  After one season as an assistant at Culver-Stockton College (NAIA), she returned to Carthage as an assistant for the 2018-19 season.
