Brittany Carper completed her second year as assistant coach in 2012-13. Carper, a native of Sioux City, Iowa,, was an assistant coach for the Quincy University women’s basketball team for four seasons from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, she served as a volunteer assistant coach at Southwest Minnesota State University for the 2005-06 season. Carper graduated from Morningside College in 2005 with a degree in business administration and finance. She received her master’s in educational leadership from Quincy in 2010.
Carper was a four-year member of the basketball team at Morningside and was named the NAIA Division II “Player of the Year” in 2004 after leading the Mustangs to the first of two national championship with a 21.5 scoring average, 5.8 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 4.0 steals per game. She was also named the Great Plains Athletic Conference “Player of the Year” in 2004, NAIA All-American in both 2004 and 2005 and ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA academic all-district in 2005.
