2012:  Named American Volleyball Coaches Association second-team All-America and All-Continental Volleyball Conference West Division with 2.24 kills per set, a .440 attack percentage and 1.06 blocks per set…played in 34-of-35 matches…tied a Carthage match record with 10 total blocks in a five-set match versus Nazareth in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball Championship…collected a season-high 13 kills against Quincy on Feb. 3 and matched that against Nazareth on April 27 in the NCAA quarterfinals.

2011:  Named first-team All-Midwest-III Conference…played in 27-of-34 matches…set a Carthage season record with a .527 attack percentage…averaged 2.12 kills per set…collected double-figure kills in eight matches, including a career high of 15 in the March 5 Thiel contest…averaged 0.88 blocks per set…named American Volleyball Coaches Association/Sports Imports NCAA Division III “Player of the Week” on March 7 after hitting .761 at the March 4-6 Midwest-III Conference Crossover Tournament II.  

2010:  Played in 23-of-33 matches…compiled a .324 attack percentage with 1.97 kills per set and 1.25 blocks per set…collected a season-high 13 kills at Clarke on March 31…had seven block assists versus the Milwaukee School of Engineering on April 10 in the title match of the Midwest-III Conference Tournament.

2009:  Named All-Midwest-III Conference…played in 30-of-33 matches and made 23 starts…compiled a .306 attack percentage, second-best on the team, and averaged 2.02 kills per set with a team-leading 1.08 blocks per set…collected 10 or more kills in seven matches, including a season-high 14 kills versus Vassar on Feb. 13…set a Carthage match record in the Vassar contest by hitting .778…collected a season-high seven block assists against River on Jan. 18.

High School:  Named Chicago Tribune second-team all-state and Naperville Sun all-city his senior year…Named All-DuPage Valley Conference his junior year…coached by Brian Janwick…DuPage Valley Conference all-academic.

Personal:  Environmental science major…his sister, Jessica Yanz, was the Illinois “Gatorade Player of the Year” in high school and played collegiate volleyball at Penn State before transferring to Nebraska…named to the fall 2010 Carthage dean’s list…born June 11, 1990.
