Andy Connor begins his eighth year as a Carthage College part-time assistant men’s soccer in 2020-21 following a standout playing career with the program between 2005 and 2008.
Connor was named National Soccer Coaches Association of America second-team all-region in 2008, NSCAA All-Wisconsin in both 2007 and 2008, and second-team All-CCIW in 2007 and 2008. He received a professional tryout with the Major League Soccer (MSL) DC United affiliate and still plays for the Chicago Kickers Soccer Club.
A native of Lake Zurich, Ill., Connor graduated in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science. He joined the Carthage coaching staff in 2013, working with the goalkeepers, and he works as a recreation therapist in Palatine, Ill.
