Joe De Leo enters his third season as a Carthage College graduate assistant men's lacrosse coach in 2020-21. 

De Leo enlisted his services with the Carthage after a three-year playing career at Hanover College under legendary head coach Skip Lichtfuss. De Leo accumulated 93 goals and 57 assists for 150 points over 48 career games played. De Leo, who led the Panthers in scoring each of his three seasons, saved the best for last with 40 goals and 22 assists for 62 points in 2018. His freshman season ended with him on the 2016 All-Ohio River Lacrosse Conference First Team. De Leo followed that with All-Ohio River Lacrosse Conference Honorable Mention in 2017 before he earned second-team honors in 2018.

De Leo got his feet wet in the coaching world with the Evansville Memorial High School boy's lacrosse team in spring 2015. He also had an assistant-coaching stint with the Evansville Storm U17 club lacrosse team in summer 2017.

De Leo, a native of Waterford, Mich., graduated from Hanover in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in English. He is currently working toward his master's degree in education at Carthage.
