Abby Olcott

Having grown up in central Illinois and actively participating in athletics from a young age, Abby has firsthand experience in competitive sports, including earning state medals in cross country and track. Her athletic journey continued at the collegiate level, where she achieved all-conference status and qualified for the NAIA national indoor track and field meet. Throughout her career, Abby faced several training challenges, including nutrition-related issues such as underfueling, GI problems, and iron deficiency, and witnessed many of her teammates struggle with similar issues, including disordered eating.
Driven by the need for better nutrition education within the athletic community, Abby founded Midwest Performance Nutrition. Her approach focuses on non-diet, weight-inclusive nutrition and is guided by Health at Every Size (HAES), Intuitive Eating, and evidence-based sports nutrition principles. She provides athletes with the nutrition tools to succeed and the mindset tools to maintain a healthy relationship with food. Additionally, Abby has extensive experience treating eating disorders across various care levels, with a special interest in working with adolescents and their families.
