    Part-Time Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Antoine McDaniel begins his eighth year as a part-time assistant coach in 2011-12 after serving as graduate assistant coach in 2004.  A native of Schaumburg, Ill., McDaniel had an outstanding four-year playing career with the Red Men between 2000 and 2003.  He was named National Basketball Coaches Association first-team All-American in 2002, “D3hoops.com” second-team All-American in 2002, NABC first-team All-Midwest Region in both 2002 and 2003, the Fred Young Most Outstanding Player in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in 2002, and All-CCIW four-straight years, third team in 2000, second team in 2001 and first-team all-conference in both 2002 and 2003. 

McDaniel finished his career ranked ninth on the Carthage career scoring list (1,618 points), 10th in field goals (544), seventh in field-goal attempts (1,255), first in three-point field goals (190), third in three-point field goal attempts (449), second in three-point field-goal percentage (.423), seventh in free throws (340), eighth in free-throw attempts (422), third in free-throw percentage (.806), third in assists (295) and fourth in steals (137). 

He graduated from Carthage in 2003 with a bachelor’s in exercise and sport science, and he is currently a director of admissions and financial aid at Carthage.
