Biography

Tyler is obviously one of the best kicker/punters in the country…he can do it all, with the possible exception of kickoffs…he’s a great punter who can place the ball and get distance…he has a great leg and kick the long field goal…I expect another All-America-type year from Tyler.

2009: Named Associated Press second-team Little All-America, “D3football.com” first-team All-North Region and first-team All-CCIW…NCAA Division III national leader in punting (44.4 yards per kick)…converted eight-of-10 field goal attempts…named CCIW “special teams player of the week” after the Oct. 10 Elmhurst game with three punts for a 45.3 yards-per-punt average, six-of-six point-after conversions and a 44-yard field goal…named CCIW player of the week on Nov. 2 after averaging 51.5 yards on two punts in the Oct. 31 Millikin game…named player of the week a third time after kicking a Carthage-record 52-yard field goal as time expired in the first half of the Nov. 7 North Park game…matched his school-record 52-yard field goal in the Nov. 14 season-finale at Wheaton (Ill.).
2008:  Attended Carthage but did not play football.

2006-07: Attended Illinois State University his freshman and sophomore seasons…red-shirted his freshman year…played his sophomore season and converted three-of-three field goals.

High School:  Named Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel first-team all-state and Racine Journal-Times first-team All-Racine County punter his senior year with a 41.0 yards-per-punt average…a three-time All-Southeast Conference kicker and punter and a three-time conference “special teams player of the year”…coached by George Machado…three-year member of the baseball team…four-year honor student.

Personal: Special education major…born Oct. 27, 1987.
