Biography

2009: Played on the junior varsity team.

2008: Played in the Nov. 8 North Park game and credited with one tackle.

2007: Played in two games and credited with two tackles.

High School: Four-year letterwinner and coached by Damien Gonzalez…also a member of the track and field team.

Personal:  Business administration major…his uncle, Gill Byrd, currently an assistant coach with the Chicago Bears, was a first-round draft pick by the San Diego Chargers out of San Jose State University in 1983 and played in two Pro Bowls for the Chargers…his brother, Xavier Scruggs, will be a senior on the 2009 University of Nevada-Las Vegas baseball team…born Sept. 7, 1989.
