Cory is one of those guys you look at say he’s not big enough to play defensive line, but he always winds up on the field, and he always makes plays…he has good athletic abilities, but he has a bigger heart than anything.

2009: Played in all 10 games and made five starts at defensive end…collected 36 tackles (23 solo, 13 assisted), including teams highs of 12 tackles-for-loss and six sacks…recovered one fumble.
2008: Played in nine-of-10 games and made eight starts…team’s eighth-leading tackler with 26 (21 solo, 5 assisted), including five tackles-for-loss…recovered one fumble.
2007: Played in eight-of-10 games and made seven starts at defensive tackle…collected 22 tackles (19 solo, 3 assisted), including five tackles-for-loss…recovered one fumble and broke up four passes.
High School: Named All-Northern Illinois Conference 9 his senior year…his junior-year team reached the Illinois High School Association sectionals…coached by Mike Hearn…also a member of the wrestling and track and field teams.
Personal: Criminal justice major…named to the fall 2009 Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…born Jan. 28, 1989.
