Tremayne Scott

Tremayne Scott enters his second year with the Carthage College Red Men in 2017, working primarily with the defensive line.

In his first year with the program, the Red Men defense ranked second in the CCIW against the run, fourth overall and first in the red zone, with one member of the defensive line being named all-conference second team.

Coach Scott joins Carthage after serving as a graduate assistant the past two seasons at Ohio University, a Division I institution within the Mid-American Conference.  Under head coach Frank Solich, Scott worked with the defensive line on the field and in the meeting rooms, conducted practice drills, assisted the defensive coordinator in the press box during game days, created opponent scouting reports and break downs, and recruited in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas.
 
Prior to serving as a graduate assistant he held an internship within the football operations office at OU where he assisted with the programs camps and team functions.
 
As a player at Ohio University, Scott played in 35 games on the defensive line for the Bobcats registering 71.5 tackles, 7.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and one interception.  Following his junior season, Scott received recognitions as an All-MAC second team and collegesportsmadness.com All-MAC third team selections and was named to the College Football Performance Awards Defensive Lineman Trophy Watch List prior to his senior year.
 
After his college career, Scott was invited to the Dallas Cowboys' rookie mini-camp in May of 2013.
 
A native of Ocala, Florida, Scott graduated with a Bachelor of Education and Human Services with a major in Recreation Management in 2012 before beginning his Master's in Recreation and Sport Science in 2014.
 
Tremayne and his wife Tiffany have three children; Tremayne Jr., 7, and Lilliana, 4, and Braylon, 1.
