Mitchell Czerniak

Mitchell Czerniak enters his second season at Carthage College as a graduate assistant in 2017 working with the running backs group.

In 2016, Czerniak helped with an offense that put up 159.3 rushing yards per game and 21 total touchdowns on the ground, which were both among the best in the CCIW, while landing one running back on the all-conference second team.

Czerniak comes to Carthage College following one season on the Beloit College coaching staff where he worked with the defensive backs.   While at Beloit, Czerniak mentored a first team All-Midwest Conference and All-North Region safety.

During his playing career at the College of Wooster, Czerniak was a standout on the defensive side of the ball, splitting time between safety and linebacker for the Fighting Scots.  Named as a captain his senior year, Mitchell was twice named All-North Coast Athletic Conference and led the conference in tackles as a junior and senior, totaling 322 in his four-year career.

A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Mitchell graduated from the College of Wooster in 2015 with a Bachelor’s in psychology and is pursuing his Master’s in Education at Carthage.
