Carthage College Athletics

Mike DuFrane begins his first year as a part-time assistant coach in 2011 after serving as a graduate assistant coach in 2010. A native of Hortonville, Wis., DuFrane attended Augustana College (S.D.) for the three years before transferring to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He was the starting nose tackle for the Warhawks’ NCAA Division III championship team in 2007 and their national-runner-up squad in 2008. 

DuFrane graduated from Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2009 with a bachelor’s in broadcast journalism. He served as a defensive line coach and video coordinator at Minnesota-Morris in the 2009 season. DuFrane, who is pursuing his master’s degree in education at Carthage, lives in Trevor, Wis., with his wife, Jillian, and son, Jordy.
