Kevin White

Kevin White enters his first season as a graduate assistant coach with the Carthage College Football team after joining in the staff in late January to assist with the defensive backs.

Kevin comes to Carthage after spending a brief stint with Austin, Texas’ Westlake Football Academy as a defensive back and wide receiver coach.  While with Westlake, White focused on teaching kids grades six-through-twelve fundamentals of football and fine-tuning the skills they already had.  Along with analyzing the players at each level, Kevin assisted in the game and practice plans for each camp.

On the field, White was a standout cornerback at Texas Christian University (TCU) where he started 40 of the 50 career games he appeared in under head coach Gary Patterson.  He finished his career with 146 tackles, 27 pass break ups, six interceptions, three fumble recoveries and one sack coming on Thanksgiving of his senior season at Texas.  White was twice recognized by the Big 12 Conference, as a second-team All-Big 12 selection his senior year and as an honorable mention All-Big 12 choice his junior season.

Additionally, White was a member of three bowl championship teams that included the Poinsettia Bowl, the Rose Bowl and a historic blowout win in the 2014 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.

Following his senior season he attended the 2015 Senior Bowl before signing with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent.  During his time in the NFL, White spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers in addition to the Falcons.

A native of Round Rock, Texas, Kevin graduated from TCU in December of 2014 with his Bachelors degree.
