James Cobbs begins his second year as a Carthage College part-time assistant football coach in 2019. Cobbs enjoyed a stellar four-year career with the Red Men as a wide receiver, collecting 2,218 receiving yards and catching 17 touchdown passes. He was named first-team All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in 2016 with 730 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. A native or Urbana, Ill., Cobbs graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science and joined the football staff for the 2018 season.
