Eric Kosterman

Eric Kosterman is in his ninth season as a Carthage part-time assistant football coach in 2020-21. Kosterman currently works with the tight ends group after working with defensive backs in 2018. In his previous five seasons as the tight ends coach, Carthage had four-consecutive seasons with a tight end earning All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin recognition.

In 2018, Kosterman saw two of his defensive backs earn All-CCIW recognition with one "D3football.com" All-North Region selection.  Kosterman spent his first season with the program in 2012 coaching the offensive line. Additionally, he has served as the junior varsity head coach since 2015.

Prior to Carthage, Kosterman served as the defensive line coach for Beloit Turner High School in 2007 and Racine Horlick High School from 2008 to 2011.

A native of Racine, Wis., Kosterman graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education. He played football for the Warhawks from 2002 to 2006 and started at defensive end for Wisconsin-Whitewater's 2005 and 2006 Stagg Bowl teams.

Kosterman earned his master’s degree in educational administration and supervision from National-Louis University in 2011. He works full time as a health and physical education teacher at Racine Horlick High School.
