Chris Benjamin is in his first season on the Carthage College coaching staff in 2019, serving as an assistant defensive coach.
A 1999 graduate from Worcester State University with a bachelor’s of science in business administration, he went on to earn his master’s degree in business administration from Webster University in 2009.
In addition to his duties with the Carthage College football team, Commander Benjamin continues to serve as an active duty Naval Officer. In 1999, he earned his commission from the College of the Holy Cross Naval ROTC Unit. He has completed multiple operational deployments throughout his military career and has been stationed in multiple cities across the country.
During the 2017 season, Coach Benjamin was assigned as the running backs coach at the College of the Holy Cross in addition to performing his duties as an Adjunct Professor of Naval Science and the Executive Officer of the Naval ROTC Unit at the College of the Holy Cross.
He has spent numerous years coaching football at the youth and high school levels, most recently in 2018 with Maynard high school Tigers football program in Massachusetts, where his contribution to student-athlete development and instruction of the sport resulted in their achievement of 3,000 rushing and 1,100 passing yards.
