Carthage College Athletics

2012:  Compiled a 3-3 record with a 2.06 earned run average and three complete games in eight starts…opponents batted just .242 against him.

2011:  Named first-team All-CCIW and American Baseball Coaches Association third-team All-Central Region with a 5-0 record, a 3.04 earned run average and four complete games…appeared in 10 games and made nine starts…averaged 2.65 walks per nine innings and 7.01 strikeouts per nine innings…the winning pitcher against Coe in the NCAA Division III Central Region Championship and named to the regional all-tournament team.

2010:  Went 2-2 with one save and a 3.64 earned run average in 11 appearances and four starts…starting pitcher in Carthage’s first-round NCAA regional game versus St. Thomas (Minn.)…opponents batted .179 against him.

2009:  Attended Carthage but did not play baseball.

2008:  Made three varsity pitching appearances, including a start against Rockford on May 4.

High School:  Named All-Central Suburban League and Pioneer Press all-region his senior year…coached by Garry Gustafson…two-year member of both the football and basketball teams.

Personal:  Criminal justice major…tight end on the 2007 Carthage football team…named to the spring 2011 Carthage athletic director’s honor roll…born Jan. 2, 1989.
