Carthage College Athletics

Jacob DeLabio begins his first year as a part-time assistant coach and co-pitching coach in 2021-22 after a four-year career with the Firebirds between 2017 and 2021.  A Kenosha, Wis., native and a Tremper High School graduate, DeLabio collected six saves for Carthage in 2021 and struck out 56 batters in 36.3 innings for a 13.88 per nine innings average.  He was not selected in the Major League Baseball Draft, but he signed a minor league contract with the Houston Astros four days later.
