Biography

Tied with Matt Whiteside as Carthage’s career leader in singles wins with 90.
2013:  Named first-team All-CCIW for the third-straight year…compiled a 19-12 record at No. 1 singles…teamed with Alex Boomgarden to go 20-11 at No. 1 doubles…advanced to the quarterfinals of the fall 2012 Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s Midwest Regional Championship…named CCIW “player of the week” on March 6 and again on April 24.

2012:  Along with teammate Daneric Hazelman, earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-America honors by reaching the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Doubles Championship in Cary, N.C.…Lotz and Hazelman fell to Warren Elgort and Jacob Barnaby from Johns Hopkins University, 6-3 and 6-4 in the quarterfinals after winning a first-round match over Williams College's Bryan Chow and Richard Meyer, 4-6, 7-6(5), 6-4…the Red Men duo finished the year with a Carthage-record 34-4 mark…named College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin "Men's Tennis Player of the Year" with a 27-10 record at No. 1 singles…named CCIW "player of the week" on Feb. 15 and again on April 25.

2011:  Named first-team All-CCIW…compiled a 24-4 record at No. 1 singles and ranked 17th in the April 14 Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s Central Region poll…named CCIW “player of the week” on Feb. 9 and again on March 30…defeated Adam DeSimone at No. 1 singles,6-4, 6-4, in the Red Men’s win over Augustana (Ill.) in the title match of the CCIW Men’s Tennis Championship…teamed with Daneric Hazelman to go 23-6 at No. 1 doubles.

2010:  Named second-team All-CCIW…compiled a 20-11 mark at No. 2 and No. 3 singles…teamed with Sammy Ramoni to go 16-9 at No. 1 doubles…overall doubles record of 20-11…named CCIW “Men’s Tennis Player of the Week” on April 28.

High School:  Four-year All-Southeastern Conference honoree and a four-time team MVP…coached by Curt Schircel…honor student.
