Biography
2012: Along with teammate Jeff Lotz Jr., earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-America honors by reaching the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Doubles Championship in Cary, N.C.…Lotz and Hazelman fell to Warren Elgort and Jacob Barnaby from Johns Hopkins University, 6-3 and 6-4 in the quarterfinals after winning a first-round match over Williams College's Bryan Chow and Richard Meyer, 4-6, 7-6(5), 6-4…the Red Men duo finished the year with a Carthage-record 34-4 mark…named first-team All-CCIW and went 29-7, mostly at No. 2 singles…his 27 wins tied Brad Livingston's 2006 season record…named CCIW player of the week on Feb. 22 and again on April 4.
2011: Named first-team All-CCIW with a 25-5 mark at No. 2 singles…defeated Kyle Doyle at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-2, in the Red Men’s win over Augustana (Ill.) in the title match of the CCIW Men’s Tennis Championship…teamed with Jeff Lotz Jr. to go 23-6 at No. 1 doubles…named CCIW “player of the week” on March 2.
2009-10: Attended the New Mexico Military Institute his freshman and sophomore years and played tennis.
High School: Three-time Pacific Oceania Junior Championship winner…No. 1-ranked junior in the Fiji Islands at age 16 and represented the islands at the South Pacific Games…also a member of the high school rugby team…named his school’s “athlete of the year” as a senior.
Personal: Double major in management and public relations…named to the spring 2012 Carthage athletic director's honor roll…born May 14, 1990.
