CHICAGO, Ill. — The Carthage College women's soccer team fell to Illinois Tech, 4-1, on Monday evening at Stuart Field. The Firebirds trailed 3-0 at halftime before Illinois Tech added another goal early in the second half, while Carthage got on the board late when Marin Mooney scored in the 82nd minute off an assist from Malie Cassel.

- Illinois Tech opened the scoring in the ninth minute when Grace Yager scored off an assist from Tvesa Vathulya to give the Scarlet Hawks a 1-0 lead.
- Georggia Desario recorded Carthage's first shot in the fifth minute, but Illinois Tech goalkeeper Clara Estiandan made the save. Desario added another shot on goal in the 21st minute, which was also saved.
