KENOSHA, Wis. — The Carthage College men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Millikin on Saturday afternoon at Art Keller Field in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play.

The Firebirds battled through a scoreless first half before Millikin scored twice in the second half to take control of the match. Carthage continued to create opportunities throughout the final 45 minutes, but the Firebirds were unable to find the back of the net.

• Carthage created an early opportunity in the sixth minute when Adrian Atanassov recorded a shot that went wide.
• The Firebirds continued to pressure the Millikin defense, with Dennis Valle and Emmitt Hansen each forcing saves during the opening 15 minutes.
• Owen Malinowski made his first save of the afternoon in the ninth minute, keeping the match scoreless.
