NAPERVILLE — The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin announced its weekly men's volleyball awards Monday afternoon, recognizing Ben Heise as the conference's Hitter of the Week.

Heise helped No. three Carthage to a 2-0 record with straight-set victories over North Park and No. 10 Loras. The outside hitter totaled 16 kills while posting a .370 hitting percentage across the two matches. He also contributed four service aces.

His standout performance came against nationally ranked Loras, where he recorded 13 kills and two aces. In the decisive third set, Heise delivered back-to-back kills late to help secure the sweep.

Carthage starts the week plalying St. Norbert on Thursday, March 5 at 7 p.m.
