NAPERVILLE — The Carthage College women's bowling team placed two student-athletes on the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) postseason honors list, highlighted by
Airie Frost earning All-CCIW Second Team recognition and
Emma Winter being named the program's CCIW RESPECT Award recipient for Carthage.
Frost turned in a consistent season for the Firebirds, delivering strong performances across both traditional and Baker formats. The sophomore posted multiple top finishes, including a ninth-place showing at the CCIW No. 1 Tournament and a 23rd-place finish at the Division III Invitational. Frost also recorded a 199.6 average during CCIW No. 2 play, highlighted by a 234 game in a critical conference victory.
Throughout the season, Frost demonstrated reliability in spare shooting and frame efficiency. Frost posted single-pin spare percentages above 90 percent in multiple events, including a 91.6 percent mark at the Music City Classic and 100 percent efforts at the Division III Invitational. Frost also contributed in key moments, including a clutch spare conversion in the anchor position to secure a pivotal conference win, and delivered match-clinching strikes during Baker match play.
Winter earned the program's CCIW RESPECT Award, which recognizes leadership, integrity and sportsmanship. On the lanes, Winter provided steady production for Carthage, highlighted by a 186 average and a 244 high game at the Western Shootout.
Winter consistently excelled in spare shooting, converting 100 percent of single-pin opportunities in multiple competitions, including the Music City Classic and Division III Invitational. Winter also delivered in conference play, rolling a 201 game in a must-win match at the CCIW No. 2 Tournament while averaging 180 on the day.
In addition to individual success, Winter contributed to team performance with strong multi-pin conversion rates and fill percentages, helping the Firebirds secure a berth in the CCIW Championships which begins 8:05 a.m. each day March 21-22 at Highland Park Bowl.
