"This group continues to impress me with the way they play for each other. Our entire team believes in the guy next to them and battles for them, in the practice gym and on the court. I think that has been a massive reason for our success this year. The depth of talent we have combined with these guys working hard for the guy next to them, makes this team fun to coach. It's not often you can go on the road and produce a .560 offensive night. Credit to
Zack Noland,
Owen Otto, and
Owen Hendricks for passing the ball at a high level and
Ryan Morey for the consistent location of the volleyball all match. We had 4 hitters over .500 today and that shows the depth that makes this group hard to stop. Defensively I thought we worked really hard.
Ben Heise found some big digs in big moments.
Ryan Cholewinski block touched a crazy high amount of balls at the net and
Hudson Sweitzer came up with a massive block in set 3 to really get us going to win the match. I'm excited to continue to work as a team. We need to find ways to get better but also enjoy the time we are spending together. There is a lot of season left for us, but we need to continue to stack days in the practice gym to find our best volleyball."
- The Firebirds return home to play North park on Wednesday, March 5 at 7 p.m.
