Women's Volleyball Caps Off Senior Night With 3-0 Sweep

Carthage 3, North Park 0 (25-18, 28-26, 25-16)
KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage women's volleyball team hosted the North Park Vikings in Tarble Arena on Saturday evening. It was a special night as the Firebirds celebrated Senior Night and recognized Katie Boston, Jenna Damon, Madilyn Danielson, Tatum Kebisek, Kyla McTeague, and Cassidy Stahl. The Firebirds would go on to sweep the Vikings

The Firebirds came out strong in the opening set, using a steady attack from Ava Dettwiler and Kristina Manojlovic to take control early and secure a 25-18 win.

Carthage showed its grit in the second frame, rallying through 15 ties and seven lead changes to beat the Vikings 28-26. Dettwiler and Manojlovic combined for nine kills in the set, while
Danielson and Boston added key blocks at the net.

The Firebirds carried that momentum into the third, jumping out to a quick lead and never looking back in a 25-16 clincher. Carthage hit .215 as a team while holding North Park to just .093 and totaled nine blocks in the match.

The Firebirds (18-11, 3-3 CCIW) return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 5 as the squad travels to Decatur, Ill. to take on Millikin at 7 p.m. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
