NEW ORLEANS - The Carthage women's cross country team has been named to the 2024 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team, the USTFCCCA announced Thursday.

The Firebirds logged a combined 3.65 cumulative GPA. To qualify for All-Academic, teams must have a combined 3.1 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale. 

Senior Kylie Smith, a Social Work major from Crystal Lake, Ill., was named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete. To qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
