BLOOMINGTON - The Carthage College women's swimming and diving team returned to action in Bloomington, Ill. taking on Illinois Wesleyan and Illinois Institute of Technology.

The Firebirds relay team of Kylie Kramp, Noelle Marsh, Grace Norman, and Maria Gutzweiler took first place in the 200 yard medley relay in a time of 1:56.27.

Rylie Vatch took first place in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:13.14.

In the 200 yard butterfly, Lois Klinger swam 2:23.04 for a first place finish.

Emily Belcik took first place in the 50 yard freestyle in a time of 25.45.

Gabriella Garcia took the gold in the one meter dive with a score of 172.05.

Vatch swam 2:38.98 in the 200 yard breaststroke for a first place finish. 

Garcia scored 177.35 in the three meter dive for a first place finish. 

Belcik took first place in the 200 yard IM in a time of 2:19.06.

The Firebirds relay team of Belcik, Klinger, Marsh, and Gutzweiler took first place in the 200 yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:44.75.



The Firebirds return back home on Saturday January 31, as they are set to host day one of the Wisconsin Private Championships. Action is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
